This mixed media collage was created by Bell using materials like aluminum, silicon monoxide, and coated papers, combining them on paper to play with light and illusion. The cut and coated sheets are combined process using a mounting press to seal them onto a supporting material for added stability. This heat and pressure process helps fuse the layers and create the final work, appearing flat while maintaining visual depth as a result of the layering. This example is one of three in the Collection, all purchased on a 2011 visit to his studio, where they and many others in the series were hung on the walls from hooks using alligator clips, titled by their creation date in Magic Marker on a lower portion of untrimmed support material.
